J. Morita announces foundation assortment pack
J. Morita USA, Inc., announced a new assortment pack for Foundation, a collagen-based, bone filling augmentation material for use in extraction sites, now available in North America. Foundation is shaped in bullet form and is available in small and medium sizes for easy placement. The pack contains a convenient mix of 3 small and 3 medium bullets, and with the ability to trim or shape the material, the assortment pack will help clinicians properly fill any socket. It is not a bone substitute, but rather stimulates new bone growth at an accelerated pace. Immediately following an extraction, Foundation is placed into the socket and the surrounding cells and capillaries gradually infiltrate the material. As the extraction socket heals, it is filled with new augmented bone.

Ansell Healthcare Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro gloves
Healthcare Products LLC ("Ansell Healthcare") launched its new Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro surgical glove, a latex-free, micro-thin glove that is safe to use for latex-sensitive (Type I) healthcare professionals and patients. The Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro glove is ideal for delicate procedures in ophthalmic, micro and cardiovascular surgery, without the risks associated with natural rubber latex sensitization. The synthetic polyisoprene, powder-free surgical glove offers exceptional dexterity, tactical sensitivity and outstanding strength and barrier protection. The Derma Prene® IsoTouch® Micro glove can also serve as an underglove. Enhanced polymer coating allows easy dry and damp-hand donning. Also, Ansell’s proprietary polyurethane inner coating will not break down during use, and it resists alcohol-based disinfectants. The gloves are produced on new, ergonomically-designed formers, which enhance fit and comfort and reduce hand fatigue and stress. These gloves are green in color for instant identification as free of natural rubber latex and reduce confusion as well as risk to both healthcare workers and patients with sensitive skin. Made of 100-percent synthetic polyisoprene, they are safe for latex-sensitive healthcare professionals and patients (Type I allergies).
