Becoming Well-Versed
Better dental training for distributor reps and in-house sales associates.

A key hurdle for successful distributor reps is moving beyond order taker to becoming a dental office consultant. The best way to grow a territory is to become a trusted dental office advisor. As a dependable consultant for dentists, the rep is able to advise how to grow the practice and increase productivity. To become a top distributor rep, individuals must be well-versed in dentistry and how to manage a successful practice.

DTA offers outstanding dental training for distributor reps (and their in-house sales associates) to develop a deeper understanding of the business and science of dentistry. “Introduction to Dental Learning” was developed to help sales associates, new employees and anyone without a background in dentistry to better understand the profession. “Introduction to Dental Learning” , is a 17 module training system covering all aspects of dentistry and the business model. The training dissects the entire profession by various dental specialties and details the inside of a dental practice. Best of all, each module has state-of-the-art graphics - so viewers can easily follow the narrative.

The training may be purchased as a set of 10 compact disks or as online training with individual seats for employees. Online training has discounts for multiple seat purchases and is tied to the employee’s email account. A quiz follows each module. Companies can monitor an employee’s progress. Employees can revisit any module for a refresher course for up to one year. More than 40 dental distributors and manufacturers currently use “Introduction to Dental Learning” to educate new employees. [FI]
