Darby Dental Supply opens Memphis sales office, expands Jericho office
Darby Dental Supply, LLC, recently opened a Memphis sales office. The Memphis sales office will be based in Darby’s 150,000-square-foot distribution hub on Holmes Road and will serve the entire country, with a strong focus on Memphis and its surrounding areas.
The company hired local resident Monte Stewart as its Memphis sales manager to supervise the day-to-day operations of the local sales office. Stewart has 38 years of retail experience, and was most recently executive vice president for upscale Memphis clothier James Davis. As sales manager, Stewart will be responsible for training and motivating account reps, as well as helping to develop sales and marketing programs targeted to Memphis-area dentists. He will also manage recruiting efforts as the company gradually expands its Memphis sales office to meet its goal of having 25 to 30 account managers by 2010.
Darby Dental Supply also recently expanded its Jericho sales office and added four new account managers.
- Christina Kenderes comes to Darby with 23 years in the dental field, including 7 years with Parkell and 1 ½ years with Benco. She also works part-time as a dental assistant for Dr. Rocco Morelli in Long Beach, N.Y.
- Stephen Materia is a seasoned sales professional with a 10-year track record of success.
- Frank Savino has more than 10 years of sales management in the mortgage/financial industry, including 5 years as branch manager of a mortgage corporation.

Practicing endodontists launch Dental Web site
The Endodontic Offices of Musikant, Deutsch, Kase, Dukoff, & Lipner recently launched a new online community, endomailmessageboard.com, an interactive online forum focused on excellence in dental education. Henry Schein’s Penrose presented with Phenomenal Woman Corporate Award of Excellence
Melville, N.Y.-based Henry Schein, Inc. announced that Team Schein Member Michele Penrose recently received the Phenomenal Woman Corporate Award of Excellence from the National Dental Association (NDA). Penrose, director of development and professional relations for Henry Schein Dental, received the award for her exemplary leadership and commitment to the ideals of the NDA. The award was presented to Penrose by Dr. Hazel Harper, former president of the NDA, at the Association’s annual convention held in Detroit, Mich. Penrose has served as a corporate advisor to the National Dental Association for the past three years.
Sullivan-Schein technicians train at Midmark
Service technicians from Sullivan-Schein spent three days during September at Midmark’s Dental Service School in Versailles, Ohio. The class, one of many conducted throughout the year, included hands-on training for dental chairs, instrument delivery units, sterilizers, lighting, vacuums and compressors. Documark training was also part of the service school. Documark contains technical documentation for Midmark products past and present including service and parts manuals, installation and operation manuals, color brochures and more. The service school also includes first-class accommodations and meals, and a fun learning environment including evening activities.

Midwest Dental adds showrooms
Midwest Dental Equipment & Supply will strengthen its presence in two key areas, Oklahoma City and Waco, Texas, by opening full-service sales and dental equipment showrooms for those areas. Midwest Dental recently acquired ownership of Brazos Valley Dental Supply from founder Bill Olson. Brazos Valley had served the Waco area for 27 years and its current location will reopen as a showroom and service center. The Oklahoma City showroom is located at 1119 Cornell and the Waco showroom is at 110 Post Office Drive in Hewitt, Texas.

DentalEZ® Group appoints F. Ryon Waddington as utility room product manager
Malvern, Pa.-based DentalEZ® Group, announced the appointment of F. Ryon Waddington to utility room product manager. In his new position, Waddington will be responsible for the management and support of all marketing activities developed for DentalEZ’s full line of CustomAir® and RAMVAC® brand products in order to maximize new prospects and sales opportunities. He will perform extensive market research, and work closely with the DentalEZ sales force to identify and provide effective product modifications as determined by market needs. Most recently, Waddington was an inside sales manager for CECO Filters. Prior to that, he was a product manager for Wire-Pro, Inc.
Sirona Dental names Bailey territory manager
Long Island City, N.Y.-based Sirona Dental Systems, LLC, named Scott Bailey the new South Central Territory Manager for inLab CAD/ CAM Lab Applications. Bailey is the sixth addition to Sirona’s growing sales force of dedicated inLab Territory Managers. Bailey’s territory includes Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota and North Dakota. He brings over four years of experience in the dental industry to Sirona, including three years dedicated exclusively to sales. Bailey attended Texas Tech University and received his bachelor’s degree in Zoology in 2004. During his last year of college, he worked in a dental laboratory, where he acquired remarkable experience and gained a full understanding of the entire dental laboratory business. Most recently, Bailey was employed with Patterson Dental Supply, where he was a CEREC Specialist. Through this position, he assisted doctors and laboratories in the incorporation of CEREC and inLab technology into their respective businesses. Bailey currently resides in Lubbock, Texas.

Erik J. Cole - Field sales consultant. Cole will represent Henry Schein Dental at its Boise, Idaho center. Before joining the company, he was a territory manager at Aurum Ceramic Dental Lab. Cole has four and a half years of dental experience. He received a B.A. in communications from Eastern Washington University.
Loraine Junk - Field sales consultant. Junk will represent Henry Schein Dental at its Cincinnati, Ohio center. She joins Henry Schein with 29 years of dental experience. Junk previously worked in sales, purchasing, and merchandise at another dental company for 15 years.
Bryan Keaton - Field sales consultant. Keaton will represent Henry Schein Dental at its Little Rock, Ark. center. Prior to joining the company, he was a territory manager at another dental company for almost three years. Keaton received a B.A. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Mike Wright - Field sales consultant. Wright will represent Henry Schein Dental at its Fort Wayne, Ind. center. He joins Henry Schein with six years of dental experience and was previously a territory representative at another dental company. He received a B.S. in marketing from Indiana State University.
Mitch Crawford - Field sales consultant. Crawford will represent Henry Schein Dental at its Indianapolis, Ind. center. He was a territory representative at another dental company, and joins Henry Schein with nine years of experience in the field. Schaeffer named Benco Dental’s director of marketing, mechandise
Wilkes-Barre, Pa.-based Benco Dental has appointed Bill Schaeffer to director of marketing, merchandise. Schaeffer has 15 years of marketing experience in the medical field as a product manager, marketing manager, and marketing director for numerous companies, including Boston Scientific, American Medical Systems and Circon Corp. He also has 10 years of sales experience with companies such as Baxter Healthcare, J&J and American Medical Systems. He has served as a CEREC specialist for Patterson Dental for three years, and most recently as a territory rep for Benco Dental in the Pittsburgh area. Schaeffer graduated from Salem University in West Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in business. He and his wife, Dena, have a son, a daughter, and five grandchildren.
Jim Monks - Territory Rep - Monks, who attended St. Bonaventure University, will represent Benco Dental in Washington D.C. and surrounding areas. He has more than 20 years of sales experience.
Sam Jaoude - Regional Manager - Jaoude has more than a decade of experience in the dental field. He is a graduate of American-Lebanese University and will head Benco Dental’s branch office in Texas.
Matt Kessner - Territory Rep - Kessner will serve Benco Dental customers in the Houston area. The Baylor University graduate has spent three years as a sales consultant.
Doug Robinson - Territory Rep - Robinson has spent 20 years working in human resources in the U.S. Air Force. He will represent Benco Dental customers in Mississippi.
Randy Romanaux - Territory Rep - Romanaux has nearly 20 years of experience in the sales field with various companies, including Georgia-Pacific and Goodrich Broadcasting. The Michigan State University graduate will serve Benco Dental customers in the Atlanta Metro area. He also does work for the Ronald McDonald House and the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital.
Cindie Modelevsky - Territory Rep - Modelevsky spent six years as a sales rep before joining Benco Dental. The Arkansas State University graduate will serve parts of Arkansas and Missouri.
Sylvia F. Wynn - Territory Rep - Wynn, a graduate of North Texas University, will represent Benco Dental in the Dallas area. She is a certified RDA and spent three years as a professional rep with Zila pharmaceuticals.
Becky Davis - Territory Rep - Davis has experience as a teacher and a sales rep. The Auburn University graduate will be working in the Memphis area.
Ryan Blake Guillory - Territory Rep - Guillory has spent time as a sales consultant and will represent Benco Dental in Houston.
