DentalEZ Group appoints Jay Magee as territory sales manager
DentalEZ® Group announced the appointment of Jay Magee to territory sales manager. Magee will maintain existing professional relations and identify new prospects to increase DentalEZ®, RAMVAC®, CustomAir®, and NevinLabsTM product and equipment sales in the Philadelphia region. Magee was most recently employed with A-dec Inc (Newberg, Ore.) and Pelton & Crane (Charlotte, N.C.). He was also a special projects supervisor for three years with Rayonier International Forest Products (Vladivostok, Russia).
New dental student initiative launched by Shofu and partner companies
San Marcus, Calif.-based Shofu Dental Corporation partnered with some of the industry’s leading manufacturers in the development of The NEXT DDS, a landmark program intended expressly for dental students and residents. Starting in 2010 and spanning four years, the parties will unveil a state-of-the-art Web portal (www.thenextdds.com) and companion print publication for dental students searching for a credible adjunct to their classroom learning experiences. Enrolled users will access videos, Webcasts and blogs that complement traditional classroom instruction and core curriculum. Steve Semmelmayer appointed to Dental Trade Alliance board
Steve Semmelmayer, CEO of Discus Dental (Culver City, Calif.), was elected to the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) (Arlington, Va.) board of directors. Semmelmayer has been active in the dental industry for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Discus Dental in 2008, Semmelmayer was general manager and president of Kerr Corporation (Orange, Calif.). In 2005, he was named president of Kerr’s Sybron Dental Specialties Division.
