The OSAP Dental Infection Control Boot Camp

The Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP), a growing community of clinicians, educators, policy makers, consultants and industry representatives who advocate for the Safest Dental Visit™ is offering the Dental Infection Control Boot Camp™, Monday, January 8 to Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Hilton Baltimore in Baltimore, Md. Federal Services attendees will have additional training sessions on Thursday morning, January 11.

What does basic training mean?
The basic training program will cover core infection prevention and safety fundamentals for dental practitioners, and offer up to 24 continuing education (CE) hours. The program features national and international experts in infection prevention and safety, presenting a fast-paced, comprehensive curriculum. Participants in the OSAP Boot Camp™ benefit from plenary lectures, hands-on demonstrations and break-out sessions that cover essential infection control and dental safety topics ranging from the role of the infection control coordinator to instrument processing, sharps safety and dental unit waterlines. Attendees also receive extensive resources, checklists, tools and much more. The OSAP Boot Camp™ is a crucial building block for every dental professional with infection control responsibilities.

Although anyone involved with infection control in dentistry would benefit from this course, Boot Camp™ is targeted to dental personnel who desire a strong foundation in infection control, infection control coordinators, educators, compliance officers, federal service employees with infection control responsibilities, federally qualified health center personnel, consultants and sales representatives.

Can infection control companies participate?
Yes! OSAP will feature a special product presentation fair on Wednesday, January 10. Product personnel will also be invited to demonstrate their products during breaks on January 10. Attendees are provided with dedicated time during the product presentation fair to interact and engage with product personnel to enhance their learnings from the education sessions throughout the course.
